Why are we addressing this topic? Well,t is because when you over eat irrespective of what you are eating, you will take in a lot of calories and too many calories mean weight gain and from this can result several complications once you are overweight.
It’s really not a secret, and what is it? It’s simple, you wait to get too hungry before you have your next meal and people tend to under look this fact all the time. You should get me right though, I am not saying you should eat every time you get a pinch of hunger but try to know around what time of the day that you normally have your meals and try to maintain that before getting too hungry.
Here is what happens when you get too hungry, the hunger hormone (ghrelin) levels spike and then you have the feeling of eating anything you come across and as much as you can have. To make it worse, you tend to crave the calorie dense foods more and at this point you tend to make very bad food choices since you just want to get it done with at this point. So the problems arising from all these is that you will eat a lot and not just that but a lot of calorie dense foods.
This is really simple; remember the last time you got too hungry? I don’t think you grabbed a banana or an apple or popcorn, you went all out on the chips plus soda or you had a huge serving of rice and some sauce with lots of toppings. Well that’s the reason most people are overweight.
So all I am saying is, if you are poor at hunger management and you are not doing intermittent fasting just try to maintain low hunger levels, how? The next time you are getting hungry and your next meal is hours away, have a banana or an apple or water or wedge of water melon so that you don’t look at your next meal as REVENGE.
Always remember it’s better to have a few calories from some strawberries then not as many calories during the next meal than waiting to have thousands of calories from one huge meal after prolonged hunger periods. That’s all for this article, PEACE. ✌️
